CHARITABLE GIVING PROGRAM

Lawson’s Finest has chosen to pay our staff generous living wages and benefits. There is no tip obligation in the taproom. However, if guests choose to leave a donation, 100% will be donated to local charitable endeavors.

August 1st – 15th our taproom donations will be given to the Vermont Farm Immersion Program based at Hartshorn Farm in Waitsfield, VT. Their mission is to inspire, guide and educate the next generation of farmers and food business entrepreneurs, as well as empower individuals to grow food sustainably. Each of the one-of-a-kind, hands on, residential and experiential programs intensively explores all aspects of growing certified organic vegetables, fruits, and medicinal herbs as well as year round, climate protected, sustainable hydroponic (grown in water) greens, farm animal care, beekeeping, operating a farm stand and maple sugar house, agritourism events, pick your own, wholesale produce accounts, CSA’s, creating farm camps for kids, food & farm tours, and an introduction to a large variety of local food businesses.   Funding would be used to help create a scholarship fund so that the cost of the program will not be a deterrent for those that really want to participate, as well as funds to finish a space that will be used as a dorm.

Vermont Farm Immersion Program

August 16th – 31st our taproom donations will be given to the Mad River Valley Libraries.

The Friends of the Joslin Memorial Library (Waitsfield) donation will support programs on a variety of issues for both adults and children that are free for everyone in the community to attend.

The Friends of the Warren Library support all of the children’s programming – from the very popular Friday afterschool program for elementary students to the summer learning activities. With the funds collected through the Lawson’s Finest charitable giving program, they will be purchasing laptops to use for kids coding classes.

The Friends of the Moretown Library strives to be a hub for the community by providing robust programming, services and a diverse collection of materials. Currently, they are working to update the library’s technology capabilities with the addition of a projector to use for movies and upcoming programs.

CHARITABLE GIVING PROGRAM

Lawson’s Finest has chosen to pay our staff generous living wages and benefits. There is no tip obligation in the taproom. However, if guests choose to leave a donation, 100% will be donated to local charitable endeavors.

July 1st-15th the donations will be given to Central Vermont Home Health & Hospice – Their personal care attendant and homemaking support long-term care program extends beyond the traditional medical sphere. They provide companionship and help with activities of daily living (light housekeeping, cooking, laundry, and bathing and dressing) to central Vermonters who, without the support, would very likely have needed to leave their homes and move to a facility or nursing home. Caring for people in their homes is cost effective, a fraction of an inpatient hospital stay and about half the cost to care for a person in a nursing home. Perhaps more important, by providing one-on-one support, education, and high-quality care in a setting where we know people want to be, they give central Vermonters the tools to manage their conditions and maintain their independence.

July 16th-31st the taproom donations will be given to Downstreet Housing & Community Development – Downstreet strengthens the communities of Central Vermont by engaging with people, providing affordable homes, and connecting people to the resources and services they need to thrive. Donated funds will support the Residences 4 Recovery Initiative which is a collective statewide effort, lead by Downstreet, to accelerate the development of supportive recovery housing in Vermont to assist the thousands of individuals and families, and the dozens of communities suffering from the Substance Use Disorder crisis.

LAWSON’S FINEST LIQUIDS AND REMARKABLE LIQUIDS ANNOUNCE NEW DISTRIBUTION PARTNERSHIP FOR NEW JERSEY AND NEW YORK STATE

Distribution agreement brings Sip of Sunshine IPA to the Jersey Shore and Upstate N.Y.

WAITSFIELD, VT. and GUILDERLAND CENTER, N.Y. (June 18, 2019) – Lawson’s Finest Liquids, a signature Vermont brewery, and Remarkable Liquids, New York and New Jersey’s premier craft beverage distributor, have announced a new distribution agreement that will bring beers from the Waitsfield, Vt. based brewery into New Jersey.

Starting in July, Remarkable Liquids will begin distribution of Lawson’s Finest flagship beer, Sip of Sunshine IPA, statewide in New Jersey, as well as in central and upstate New York, in addition to the rotating Super Session single hop IPA series and limited specialty beer releases.

“We are thrilled to launch distribution of Lawson’s Finest in New Jersey, where we’ve received countless requests for our beer. The team at Remarkable Liquids shares our commitment to proper handling of the highest quality beer to ensure customers receive it exactly the way the brewery intends – cold and fresh – consistently delivering the experience that discerning craft beer drinkers seek,” said Sean Lawson, founding brewer, Lawson’s Finest. “I was born in Red Bank, N.J., and as a Jersey boy originally, it has been a longstanding goal of mine to satiate the thirst of the Garden State,” continued Lawson.

“Lawson’s Finest products have always been in high demand; these guys work tirelessly to create some amazing beers and it truly shows in the quality of their brews,” said Spencer Noakes, co-founder and general manager, Remarkable Liquids. “Sip of Sunshine and Super Session are household names in the craft community, the only thing holding most back from enjoying them is accessibility, and we’re excited to be the ones closing the loop and getting these amazing products into the hands of those who will enjoy them the most.”

New Jersey craft beer fans can expect regular deliveries of cans and draft beer of both Sip of Sunshine IPA and the Super Session IPA series, a quaffable brew loaded with hops, designed to be light and refreshing with lower alcohol and calories (4.8 percent ABV, 140 calories), yet having the full hop character of an IPA. Be on the lookout for Super Session #7 in late July, the newest rendition brewed with Idaho 7 hops. In addition, fans can expect limited releases every other month of Lawson’s Finest specialty beers from Vermont, with Scrag Mountain Pilsner in July, Hopzilla Double IPA in September, and Fayston Maple Imperial Stout in November.

Lawson’s Finest has long been a staple of the craft beer industry, with the flagship Sip of Sunshine IPA being one of the most sought-after beers in the Northeast, and their unique maple brews winning multiple medals at the World Beer Cup and Great American Beer Festival. Today, they split brewing operations between their 34-barrel Waitsfield location and Two Roads Brewing Company in Stratford, Connecticut, where their flagship “Sip of Sunshine IPA” and “Super Session” series are brewed at a larger scale to meet the incredibly high demand. In late 2018, Lawson’s Finest opened their new destination brewery in Waitsfield, VT, offering a world-class experience where fans can enjoy a wide array of brews on tap. The taproom features a soaring timber-frame space, with a selection of local artisanal foods in a family-friendly setting, kids games, a beer garden, and adjacent walking trails. Their retail store offers a full selection of beers and branded merchandise to go.

Remarkable Liquids will be responsible for the distribution of Lawson’s Finest Liquids products throughout the entire state of New Jersey, in addition to the following New York counties: Chenango, Clinton, Delaware, Essex, Franklin, Fulton, Hamilton, Herkimer, Lewis, Madison, Montgomery, Oneida, Otsego, Schoharie, Warren, and Washington. This effectively completes Lawson’s Finest’s New York State distribution coverage, making the beer available throughout New York and New Jersey where fine craft beverages are sold.

The first half of June our taproom donations will be given to The Catamount Trail Association (CTA). The CTA maintains Vermont’s Catamount Trail and a world-class network of backcountry ski terrain. They work to conserve the mountain lands on which outdoor recreation depends, and run free programs introducing youth to cross country skiing, all in an effort to expand access to backcountry skiing to more Vermonters. The Mad River Valley Backcountry Coalition (MRVBC) is a local chapter of the CTA focused on creating managed backcountry ski zones and enhancing opportunities for wintertime recreation right here in the Mad River Valley.

NEWS YOU NEED TO KNOW

In honor of our 11th anniversary celebration Sean brewed Peril Imperial IPA and Maple Tripple Ale! These single-batch specialty beers were brewed at the “Wizard’s Workshop” – the original 7bbl brewery in Warren, VT.

Peril Imperial IPA (11.1% ABV) has a menacing hop character and dangerously smooth flavor, achieved by copious dry hopping and cold conditioning.

Maple Tripple Ale (12% ABV) is enticing, rich and complex; this creation defies easy description. Our ‘once-a-year beer’ is brewed only during sugaring season with 100% maple sap from our local friends in VT. No water added! Just barley, hops, and ale yeast.

We have a limited supply of both bottles and draft available at our retail store and taproom. If you’re looking to try these special brews, check our taproom page for the most up-to-date information on what is available!

Our limited release calendar is changing with the seasons! We just brewed our last batch of Sugarhouse IPA until its return in January 2020, so be sure to grab a fresh pour at our taproom or take some packaged cans to go from our retail store.

We are excited to welcome App Gap Saison back into our lineup! June 1st it will be available in draft and cans. App Gap Saison (4.5% ABV) is our Belgian style farmhouse ale that has a slightly spicy character, fruity yeast-driven esters and an effervescent, dry finish. A homage to our mountain gateway to the Valley.

We have a new item in our retail store! This vibrant Sunshine Headband, crafted by Reign Vermont, is the perfect accessory to brighten your wardrobe! They are available at our retail store in Waitsfield, VT or our online shop.

Charitable Giving Program

Lawson’s Finest has chosen to pay our staff generous living wages and benefits. There is no tip obligation when guests come to the taproom. However, if guests choose to leave a gratuity, 100% will be donated to local charitable endeavors.

The first half of May our taproom donations will go to Prevent Child Abuse Vermont. They are a nonprofit organization that has been serving children and families at risk of child abuse and neglect for 43 years by creating, adopting and carrying out innovative, highly effective prevention programs, including parenting programs, child sexual abuse prevention, and shaken baby syndrome prevention.

The second half of May we are supporting Circle and Sexual Assault Crisis Teams. Circle serves anyone experiencing intimate partner violence in the Washington County area. SACT works to provide advocacy and services for people of all genders who have experienced harm, and to educate for the prevention of all forms of sexual violence.
