Through our Social Impact Program, or SIP, we support thriving communities where people take good care of each other, advocate for the natural world and make life a little more fun. The program includes six initiatives that build impactful connections, strengthen communities and create memorable experiences.

The Sunshine Fund is just one of the ways we support our neighbors. In lieu of tips in our Taproom and at our drive-thru Retail Store, we invite our guests to donate to the Sunshine Fund to benefit local nonprofits. Our staff receives wages that don’t require tips to supplement their income, so hospitality is always included in your Lawson’s Finest experience. The Sunshine Fund allows us to harness the generosity of our guests to support our communities.

In recognition of Mental Health Awareness month, our May Sunshine Fund recipient is Pathways Vermont. This organization provides access to human-centered mental health services and resources that support diverse roads to wellness. Some of their programs include Housing First which works to end homelessness by prioritizing permanent housing and offering community-based support to individuals experiencing homelessness who opt not to utilize traditional mental health services. They also created the Pathways Vermont Community Center,

a peer-run space to support adults who are at risk of contact with crisis services due to mental health distress, addiction or trauma.  In addition, they run the Pathways Vermont Soteria House which offers an alternative living environment for Vermonters experiencing an early mental health crisis. The nonprofit also provides Supportive Services for Veteran Families and has its own Vermont Support Line, a confidential and nonjudgmental call or text line that is available 24/7 to anyone needing support.

Stop by now at our drive-thru Retail Store or our Beer Garden (re-opening May 15th!) to donate. Thank you for your continued support of the Sunshine Fund!
