Thanksgiving is right around the corner! The family will soon be in town to give thanks and enjoy a great feast together. If you are in the midst of planning your menu, try these recipes to beerify your traditional side dishes.

Sunshine Cran–beer–y Sauce

Do away with canned cranberry sauce this year; make your own! This recipe is easy to make and the one dish that you can make ahead of time. If that still doesn’t get you excited, did we mention it’s made with beer?

Ingredients

Makes about 3 cups

  • 1/2 cup Sip of Sunshine
  • 24 ounces fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup raw cane sugar
  • 1 orange, juiced
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1/2 stick cinnamon

Directions

Combine Sip of Sunshine, cranberries, sugar, orange juice, and orange zest in a pot.

Bring to boil.

Turn to low heat.

Simmer for 15 minutes.

Mash cranberries as desired.

Pour sauce into a bowl.

Chill for a few hours or overnight.

Maple Beer Bread Biscuits

Beer in bread– does it get any better than that? It can if it’s Mad River Maple beer bread! Oh yeah, it’s a game changer.

Ingredients

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Grease cookie sheet.

Add Beer Bread Mix to a medium bowl.

Pour in Lawson’s Finest Liquids Mad River Maple and melted butter.

Stir until well blended.

Spoon 1/4 cups batter onto well-greased cookie sheet.

Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

Let cool five minutes.
