May Beer News

The first week of May brings the Craft Brewers Conference in Philadelphia PA. Lawson’s Finest will be making a splash with cans and draft of Sip of Sunshine IPA and Super Session #2 throughout the week at area retail and draft establishments! There will be a special Lawson’s tapping and meet the Brewer on Wednesday May 4th from 6-8pm at Fountain Porter, and they’ll also be selling to-go cans of Sip of Sunshine IPA & Super Session #2! Inquire with your favorite Philly retailer to see if they’ll be selling Lawson’s Finest. (Sorry but we don’t have exact Philly draft & retail locations).

In Vermont the week of May 2nd, you’ll find bottles of Chinooker’d IPA at Beverage Warehouse of Vermont, Warren Store, and Hunger Mountain Coop. There is also limited draft at select locations including Prohibition Pig, The Farmhouse Tap & Grill, Blackback Pub, Three Penny Taproom and The Mad Taco.

In Vermont the week of May 9th, you’ll find bottles of Spring Fever Session IPA and limited draft (bottles and draft at same locations listed above).

Both VT and CT locations can expect Sip of Sunshine IPA brewed fresh twice this month, and Super Session #2 brewed once this month to keep your palates quenched.

Keep your eye out this summer for the release of the 2015 Maple Tripple, our award winning beer that is enticing, rich, complex and defies easy description. Our ‘once-a-year beer’ is brewed only during sugaring season with 100% maple sap from our local friends in VT. No water added! Just barley, hops, and ale yeast. In 2010 the Maple Tripple received a World Beer Cup® Bronze Medal for the Specialty Beer category. The 2012 Maple Tripple received a World Beer Cup® Silver Medal in the same category.

Speaking of this summer, check out all of the fun upcoming events that will feature Lawson’s Finest Liquids! An event that we’re especially honored to be a part of is the 2016 Sierra Nevada Beer Camp! It’ll be here before we know it (June 18th in Boston), so make sure to get your tickets now!

Finally, we’d like to THANK YOU to everyone who helped make the Lawson’s Finest 8th Anniversary celebration at the Valley Players Theater in Waitsfield, VT such a successful fundraising event that drew several hundred people from across the Northeast and beyond. Each year, Lawson’s Finest demonstrates our commitment to the local community through ongoing charitable giving, culminating with our Anniversary event. This year, the event raised over $12,180 to be donated to a handful of non-profit organizations, including Hannah’s House, The Warren School PTO, the VT Network Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, and the Mad River Valley Food Shelf. Sean Lawson says, “Our success wouldn’t be possible without so many fans who support our brand, as well as our local retailers and restaurants who have an ongoing commitment to serving Lawson’s Finest.”
