These non-profits apply for the opportunity to be 1 of 24 Sunshine Fund Recipients selected by our employee-led committee. Upper Valley Habitat for Humanity
Upper Valley Habitat builds new homes and repairs existing homes for qualifying partner families and individuals to purchase, using in-kind donations and scores of volunteers in order to keep the cost of the home affordable. Their Sunshine funds will be allocated to the construction of a new, single-family, perpetually affordable home in downtown White River Junction.

For 44 years, the Clarina Howard Nichols Center has worked to end domestic and sexual violence, stalking, and human trafficking in Lamoille County. In addition to Clarina’s emergency (pet-friendly) shelter, their other services include a 24-hour hotline, legal, medical, and housing advocacy, and outreach and education.

LoveYourBrain is a Vermont nonprofit that helps people with brain injuries and their caregivers heal and connect. We’re raising money for their free LoveYourBrain Mindset program that uses mindfulness and peer support to reach people all across the state with life-changing mental health services, so that no Vermonter with a brain injury faces the journey alone.
