All of the organizations were selected based on their commitment and alignment with our Healthy Communities giving priority. See which nonprofit in your community is being supported through this effort below!

Connecticut

The Alzheimer’s Association is dedicated to leading the way to end Alzheimer’s and all other dementias by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.  

We offer a variety of programs and services to support individuals affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementias, including: 

  • Educational Programs: Providing information on Alzheimer’s disease, caregiving strategies, and brain health. 
  • Support Groups: Connecting individuals and families with others facing similar challenges. 
  • 24/7 Helpline: Offering around-the-clock assistance and information. 
  • Early-Stage Social Engagement Programs: Facilitating activities for those in the early stages of Alzheimer’s to engage with their communities.

Our Connecticut distributors, Star Distributors Inc. and Hartford Distributors Inc., have partnered with us to match proceeds from Cosmic Shift for the Alzheimer’s Association Connecticut Chapter.

Maine

Founded in 2001, Cultivating Community grows food justice in Southern Maine with four complementary programs that meet community needs for land and food access while organizing for systems change: 

  1. Two Community Farms and marketing programs provide land access, workforce development, and support for immigrant, refugee, and asylum-seeking farmers who distribute $500,000 worth of culturally important food to low or no-income neighbors annually
  2. Community Gardens where 485 people grow together on public land, with priority given to low-income households
  3. Youth Leadership Programs with multilingual garden-based internships for 50 public high school students annually that provide stipends, build skills, and increase community food security
  4. School Garden Partnerships that provide hands-on outdoor education for all 3000 Portland public elementary school students

Our Maine distributor, Vacationland Maine, has partnered with us to match proceeds from Cosmic Shift for Cultivating Community.

Massachusetts

Spoonfuls, New England’s largest food recovery organization both in terms of pounds recovered and towns and people reached through its deliveries, keeps good food from going to waste. Through food recovery and distribution, education, and advocacy, Spoonfuls works to address the health, environmental, and economic impact that wasted food has on people and the planet.

Our Massachusetts distributor, Atlantic Beverage Distributors, has partnered with us to match proceeds from Cosmic Shift for Spoonfuls.

New Hampshire

NH Food Alliance is a statewide network that engages and connects people, organizations and businesses dedicated to strengthening our local food system in the Granite State. We work together to grow and sustain local farms, fisheries, and food businesses, secure healthy food access for all, build climate resilience, and support equity in our communities and workplaces.

Our New Hampshire distributor, Vacationland New Hampshire, has partnered with us to match proceeds from Cosmic Shift for NH Food Alliance.

New Jersey

The Community FoodBank of New Jersey (CFBNJ) is the largest anti-hunger, anti-poverty organization in the state, where nearly one million neighbors, including 1 in 8 children, struggle with the emptiness caused by hunger. We are the lead source of nourishing food for 800 pantries serving everyone from infants to college students to families and seniors. Our comprehensive approach addresses the root causes of hunger through food benefits and social services, job training and certification, local farm partnerships, and food policies that nurture all New Jerseyans. By providing food, help, and hope, we are building a food secure future for New Jersey. CFBNJ is a proud member of Feeding America®.

Our New Jersey distributor, Remarkable Liquids, has partnered with us to match proceeds from Cosmic Shift for the Community FoodBank of New Jersey.

New York City

City Harvest is New York’s first and largest food rescue organization, collecting high-quality, nutritious food that would otherwise go to waste to help provide free food for millions of New Yorkers experiencing food insecurity.

Our New York City distributor, Sarene Craft Beer, has partnered with us to match proceeds from Cosmic Shift for City Harvest.

Western New York

United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes mobilizes communities to action. For more than 100 years, United Way has partnered with local communities to co-create solutions to people’s most pressing challenges. Working with over 1,200 nonprofits in the Greater Rochester and Finger Lakes region, United Way is working towards a future where every person in every community can reach their full potential. 

Our Western New York distributor, TJ Sheehan, has partnered with us to match proceeds from Cosmic Shift for United Way.

Pennslyvania

Philabundance’s mission isto drive hunger from our communities today and to end hunger for good. To accomplish this, we provide food to over 135,000 people per week in our 9-county service area through a network of 350 agency partners. Additionally, we run Philabundance Community Kitchen (PCK), a workforce development program where we train SNAP-eligible people to become chefs and help them find a career in the field.

Our Pennsylvania distributor, Sarene Craft Beer, has partnered with us to match proceeds from Cosmic Shift for Philabundance.

Rhode Island

The Rhode Island Community Food Bank acquires and distributes food through our 147 member agencies, reaching approximately 84,400 food insecure Rhode Islanders each month. We provide nutritious staples and fresh produce to food pantries, meal sites, shelters, youth programs and senior centers.

Our Rhode Island distributor, Atlantic Beverage Distributors, has partnered with us to match proceeds from Cosmic Shift for the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.

Vermont

For 38 years, Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports has provided year-round sports and outdoor recreational programs to people of all ages and disabilities in dozens of locations throughout Vermont. Participants come from all over to benefit from the physical and mental health and wellness that outdoor recreation provides. No one is ever turned away based on the ability to pay. In 2024, Vermont Adaptive offered nearly $220,000 in scholarships to participants. Winter activities include skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, indoor rock climbing, wellness retreats, camps and more. In spring/summer/fall, participants can enjoy canoeing, kayaking, adaptive mountain biking, cycling, sailing, hiking, climbing, and more. The organization also serves veterans through its Veteran Ventures year-round program. In addition, Vermont Adaptive partners with organizations throughout Vermont to ensure access for all to the beautiful trails, waterways, rivers and the beautiful Green Mountains.
