January Beer News

Due to a break over the holidays, there will be no special 22 oz bottles or draft the week of 1/4. Happy 2016!

For the entire month of January, all 22 oz bottle releases will be sold at The Warren Store, Hunger Mountain Co-op, and the Beverage Warehouse.

Week of 1/11 – Red Spruce Bitter (bottles and draft) – Lawson’s winter holiday ale is a special bitter brewed with real sprigs of Red Spruce picked from trees at the brewery, a dash of cinnamon & fermented with an English-style yeast. This winter seasonal breaks from traditionally heavy holiday brews with a light body and refreshing zest.

Week of 1/18 – Triple Sunshine IPA (bottles only) – This lupulin-laden triple India Pale Ale is packed with juicy tropical character, floral aromas and exceptional layers of flavor.

Week of 1/25 – (tentatively) Fayston Maple Imperial Stout Rum Barrel aged (bottles only) – Brewed with loads of roasted and black malts, almost two gallons of VT maple syrup per barrel, this stout was carefully aged for over a year in rum barrels that previously held a 20 year old Caribbean rum.

As always, every month you’ll find fresh batches of Sip of Sunshine IPA and Super Session #2 (cans and draft) in both Vermont and Connecticut.

On Saturday January 23rd, don’t miss your chance to join brewer and naturalist Sean Lawson at Mad River Glen ski area for a 1-hour full moon snowshoe followed by a localvore buffet dinner paired with a cash bar of Lawson’s Finest brews. $45 includes snowshoe, dinner and one beer. Advanced registration required, please call 802-496-3551 x110 or email [email protected].
