Friday, March 29th was the official release of our special edition of Double Sunshine Ruby Red Grapefruit IPA! This brew is fermented with grapefruit purée and finished on fresh peel thanks to our friends at Orchid Island Brewery. Waves of grapefruit aroma and flavor delight the senses, delivering an extra layer of mouth-watering, juicy, lush tropical fruit character. Straight from the heart of citrus country to the Green Mountains! Stop by our taproom for a fresh pour and check out our retail store on your way out to grab cans to go!

Our Brewery team was hard at work filling an array of barrels with our Fayston Maple Imperial Stout. These barrels once housed liquids including maple rum, apple brandy and sherry. We are excited to enjoy these brews in months to come, but in the meantime when you visit take a peek in the brewery to see some of the large barrels on display. Thanks to our friends at Mad River Distillers for helping make this happen!

Another incredible turnout for the 2nd Annual Winter Vermont Brewers Festival in Killington, VT! For the event we collaborated with Big Spruce Brewing of Cape Bretton, Nova Scotia and created the MC Amalgamation Brett IPA (6.4% ABV). This beer is brewed with a base of pale malt, wheat and oats and fermented with a special blend of brettanomyces wild yeast strains. Featuring tasting notes of pineapple, grapefruit and a mild Brett funk. Stop by our taproom to try a fresh pour of this tasty Brett IPA!

Our Lawson’s Finest Cuff Beanie is back in stock! They are available to order online or stop by our retail store and pick one up!

Charitable Giving Program

Lawson’s Finest has chosen to pay our staff generous living wages and benefits. There is no tip obligation when guests come to the taproom. However, if guests choose to leave a gratuity, 100% will be donated to local charitable endeavors.

The first half of April our taproom donations will go to the Brain Injury Association of Vermont. They aim to create a better future for Vermonters with brain injuries and their families through prevention, education, advocacy and support. They provide education in schools to help reduce concussions in young athletes, supporting military veterans who have been exposed to blast injuries, and provide resources to brain injury survivors and their families.

The second half of April we are supporting our local elementary school’s Parent Teacher Organizations which are dedicated to provide additional opportunities outside of the classroom for students, teachers and families to learn, socialize, communicate and grow.

Join us at the taproom on April 1st from 5-7pm for our Monday night specialty cask and live music! Our specialty cask will feature double dry hopped Sugarhouse IPA with Eukanot hops, orange peel, and sage accompanied by live music from The Medicine Tribe Trio.

Stop by the Craft Beer Cellar in Waterbury, VT on Friday, April 5th to sample some Lawson’s Finest Liquids! Our Brand Ambassador will be there from 3-6pm.

Sean Lawson, Seth Talmon (Sales and Distribution Manager), Scott Shirley (Director of Brewing Operations), and TJ Greenwood (Director of Operations) are heading to Denver, CO for the Craft Brewers Conference and will be bringing the Green Mountains all the way to the Rocky Mountains!

Tuesday, April 9th we’ll be doing a tap takeover at Improper City with 4 Noses Brewing Company, New Image Brewing and Stem Ciders! Lawson’s Finest Liquids available on draft will be Double Sunshine IPA, Chinooker’d IPA, The Space In Between and Sip of Sunshine IPA in cans. The event runs from 6-10pm.

Tuesday, April 9th there is a special tapping at Star Bar! On draft you will find The Space In Between, Double Sunshine IPA, Chinooker’d IPA and Sip of Sunshine IPA in cans.

Thursday, April 11th Lawson’s Finest Liquids and Jester King Brewery are doing a tap takeover at Hops & Pie! On draft you will find Double Sunshine IPA, Fayston Maple Imperial Stout with Chocolate Tart Cherry, The Space In Between, Chinooker’d IPAScrag Mountain Pilsner and Sip of Sunshine IPA.

Saturday April 27th, 14th Star Brewing in St. Albans is hosting the Vermont Maple Beverage Tasting which is an official event for the 53rd Annual Vermont Maple Festival. There will be two sessions; 12-2pm and 3-5pm. Registration is required and tickets can be purchased online! If you attend, make sure to enjoy a fresh pour of our Maple Nipple Amber Ale on draft.

March kicked off the official distribution of our Chinooker’d IPA. Check out some of your local favorite accounts to grab a four pack or more! Chinooker’d is our traditional American IPA recipe which is chock-full of Chinook hops bursting with pine and citrus aromas. Firm bitterness and a balanced malt profile gives way to waves of flavor. Let us know what you think!

Our Super Session series rotates and Super Session #8 is back in the lineup! You will start to see cans and draft popping up in your local accounts by the second week of April! This brew is made with copious amounts of Mosaic hops and is designed to be a light and refreshing beer with low alcohol, yet the full hop character of a Session IPA.

The next round of distribution for our Waitsfield brewed beers will be The Space In Between, which is a hazy ale with a hint of tartness, brewed with oats and wheat and dry-hopped with Nelson and Galaxy varieties. This special brew will make its debut in May!

In addition to Chinooker’d IPA and Super Session #8, during this month, you can Find Our Beer – Sip of Sunshine IPA (cans and draft) in Vermont, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine, New Hampshire, New York and Philadelphia.
