LITTLE SIP IPA PHYSICALLY DISTANT SUMMER SOCIAL
Our Little Sip IPA Physically Distant Summer Social continues this month with the number one goal of having fun! The challenges we’ve planned offer multiple chances to win some sweet Lawson’s Finest Liquids gear, epic grand prizes and connect with Sean Lawson and the Lawson’s Finest Liquids Team.
We’ve loved seeing all of the photos of our fans enjoying Little Sip IPA during their outdoor adventures submitted as part of our #LittleSip IPA Instagram Challenge! We invite you to take part throughout the summer as we select and announce a winner of the Little Sip IPA gear each week.
In August we’ll be kicking off our Little Sip IPA Scavenger Hunt, which will take place throughout the state of Vermont – stay tuned to our website and social media for more details!
OPERATIONAL UPDATES
Our Beer Garden and Retail Store are open from 12-7pm Monday through Friday and 11am-7pm on the weekend (credit cards only please).
It’s been such a pleasure to welcome everyone back to our beer garden. If you are planning on coming by for a visit, please reserve a table on our website prior to your arrival and don’t forget your mask! For a full outline of the guidelines we’ve put in place in order to ensure the safety of our employees and guests, please visit the taproom page on our website. We’re looking forward to many more sunny days serving up liquid sunshine and tasty treats!
Our drive-thru retail store is also open and our staff is here to bring the sunshine right to your car! We’ll take your order at your window, or bring out your phone or online order that was placed ahead of time. You can order your to-go beer online or over the phone at 802-496-4677 ext. 0. BEER RELEASES
Our crisp, clear golden ale, Above the Clouds, is back in the lineup! This approachable and light bodied brew features notes of straw and fresh grain along with a subtle citrusy hop aroma.
While we were sad to bid farewell to The Space in Between with Passionfruit last month, we are thrilled to welcome The Space in Between back into our lineup. This hazy ale with a hint of tartness is perfectly refreshing for summertime!
Thursday, August 13th marks the return of Hopcelot, available in 16-oz. cans for the first time ever! Inspired by a dreamy combination of music, hops, and beer, this IPA boasting 8 varieties of hops from around the world was brewed to create intricate flavor and delight your senses!
Later on in the month, we’ll welcome back Hopzilla, a monster of an IPA that will make you pucker up! Loaded with high-alpha U.S. grown hops, this brawny dry hopped ale will terrorize your taste buds, yet has enough malt backbone to balance a fierce bitterness.
The end of August marks the next transition in our Super Session Series, from Super Session #4 to Super Session #2. Super Session #2 is designed to be a light and refreshing beer with low alcohol, yet the full hop character of a Session IPA. Each beer in our Super Session series is brewed with the same malt base and specialty malts but features a different single-hop variety. Super Session #2 is brewed with copious amounts of Amarillo hops. It has a distinct citrus character with notes of lemon, lime and orange.
We are excited to announce that we will be brewing our version of the Black is Beautiful Imperial Stout at our original 7-bbl brewery in Warren, VT on August 19th, with a planned release in early September. The Black is Beautiful initiative is a collaborative effort among the brewing community and its customers launched by Weathered Souls Brewing Co. in an attempt to bring awareness to the injustices that people of color face daily. We stand with over 1,000 breweries in 20 countries working to affect change in our industry and beyond through the collaborative creation of a special beer. All proceeds from this release will be donated to The Peace and Justice Center, a Vermont non-profit working through education, advocacy, training, nonviolent activism and community organizing on interconnected social justice issues.
SOCIAL IMPACT PROGRAM (SIP)
For the month of August, the Lawson’s Finest Sunshine Fund is proud to support The Clemmons Family Farm in Charlotte, VT. Lawson’s Finest Liquids’ donation will be added to a special fund they are creating for Vermont businesses who want to support The Storytelling Room – an arts and culture online program that weaves African-American and African diaspora art, history and storytelling into 90-minute interactive events that are offered free to the public. The goal of this program is to build understanding and positive connections among community members across differences of race, culture and ethnicity. They will continue their programs by recording them live from the Barn House to our community through Zoom and then share the recorded program later with the public.
Also in August, Lawson’s Finest will be taking part in the 2020 Virtual Hops for Hope 5K, a fundraising event for The American Cancer Society of Vermont. While the event usually takes place in person at Mount Snow during labor day weekend ahead of their Brewers Festival, it has been impacted by the pandemic and ACS decided to take things virtual for the safety of their staff, volunteers and supporters. We encourage our fans and followers to take part in this event and donate if possible, as it supports the ACS’s mission of to save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer.
EVENTS
Lawson’s Finest Liquids is thrilled to be sponsoring the Sunshine Cup at Sugarbush, a tournament open to all 2020 Sugarbush Resort Golf Club members. Running through mid-September, participants can play and submit one 9 hole score per week to the Pro Shop via email. You may also download the Sugarbush app and report scores by sharing the results via the share button to [email protected].
One Friday a month through October we’ll be hanging out and offering some fine liquids at Vista Beast in Bolton Valley for Friday Night It’s Lit Disc Golf Series with Disc Golf Vermont! Players will play a round of 9, take a break and then play 9 more holes, for a total of 18 holes under the lights. This is one of the first times anyone in the Northeast has turned on the ski lights for disc golf, so join us for this fun and unique experience!
We are also excited to announce our sponsorship of Retro Spec, a socially distanced outdoor spectacle that collectively explores our visions of the future. The brainchild of local artists and musicians Trish Denton, Stephanie Wilson, and Kat Wright, this event will be the first of its kind during this unprecedented time. Two shows will be held on August 21st and 22nd at Water Works park in Burlington, and more information on the event and ticket sales will be announced shortly.
And we are delighted to share that our brand ambassador Chuck will be out spreading the sunshine with some beer tastings at select accounts in Vermont throughout the months of August and September! You can find a full listing of the scheduled tastings on our Events page.
BEER DELIVERIES
Everyone’s new favorite everyday beer, Little Sip IPA has hit the shelves at accounts throughout Vermont! Our brewing team and delivery drivers have been hard at work to ensure that fresh Little Sip can be found across the state every week.
Fresh deliveries of Sip of Sunshine, Super Session #4 and Scrag Mountain Pils will also continue throughout August in our nine-state territory. Super Session #2 will replace Super Session #4 in late August and early September.

Though our retail store remains closed for in-store shopping, you can view all of our offerings in our online store. We’re seeing blue lately with the recent addition of lots of Little Sip IPA merchandise! From our Little Sip IPA insulated tote bag to our Little Sip IPA towel and Little Sip Golf Set, we’ve got everything you need to pair with some Little Sip IPA for your outdoor adventures! We’ve also got a Little Sip IPA bandana and Little Sip IPA can cooler! And who could forget our Little Sip IPA bike bell?
