NEWS YOU NEED TO KNOW In honor of our 11th anniversary celebration Sean brewed Peril Imperial IPA and Maple Tripple Ale! These single-batch specialty beers were brewed at the “Wizard’s Workshop” – the original 7bbl brewery in Warren, VT. Peril Imperial IPA (11.1% ABV) has a menacing hop character and dangerously smooth flavor, achieved by copious dry hopping and cold conditioning. Maple Tripple Ale (12% ABV) is enticing, rich and complex; this creation defies easy description. Our ‘once-a-year beer’ is brewed only during sugaring season with 100% maple sap from our local friends in VT. No water added! Just barley, hops, and ale yeast. We have a limited supply of both bottles and draft available at our retail store and taproom. If you’re looking to try these special brews, check our taproom page for the most up-to-date information on what is available! Our limited release calendar is changing with...

Vermont Brew Fest Week!

Posted on Jul 17, 2013 in Beer Fests, Our Events

Wow, have we got some exciting things in store for you!!! Vermont Spruce Tip IPA collaboration! First and foremost, I’d like to announce our collaboration with the Vermont Pub and Brewery – Vermont Spruce Tip IPA! This beer was brewed in memory of Greg Noonan, who created the first VT spruce tip ale back in 1990 at VPB, of which I was an early fan and inspired me to make at least one spruce beer a year. Our friends at VPB, Steve Polewacyk, Russ Fitzpatrick, and Tommy Noonan joined in the fun to pick new spring growth spruce tips, brew the beer, and just on Monday we bottled it with a special label! You can get your hands on some starting this Friday 7/19 at 11:30am the Vermont Pub and Brewery where we will be doing the official bottle release (note: 4 bottle limit). Vermont Brewers Festival! OK, you already know the bad news: I’m a bad blogger these days. A blog is only relevant if you update it regulary! Plus a few very special projects are now in the works that have been taking up a great deal of my time. So here’s a glimpse of few exiting things at Lawson’s Finest. I do indeed hope to get more complete details here in the near future. ON DECK: Summer! Festival Season is here.
