We will continue to assess our operations and the environment around us over the coming months in order to make the most informed decisions in the interest of the health and safety of our staff, guests and community. We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your support of our seasonal beer garden and drive-thru retail store, and look forward to serving you soon!

Beer Releases

In early November, we’ll welcome the return of Homestead Haze, our 100% Vermont-grown IPA. Brewed with malted barley and wheat from Peterson Quality Malt and Cascade, Centennial, and Chinook varieties from Homestead Hops, this limited edition Waitsfield brew is hazy and light amber in appearance with a bouquet of resinous hop aroma and flavors, featuring orange and grapefruit rind, fresh cut grass, and peach and stone fruit esters.

In the middle of the month, we’ll debut our latest collaboration brew, Maple Brown Ale Aged in WhistlePig Rye Whiskey Barrels. Brewed in collaboration with WhistlePig Rye Whiskey of Shoreham, VT for an experimental spirits project, this special beer is made with Vermont maple syrup from Purinton Maple Farm of Huntington, VT.

We’ll round out the month of November with the annual release of Maple Tripple, a perfect addition to your Thanksgiving table. Enticing, rich and complex, this creation defies easy description. Our ‘once-a-year beer’ is brewed only during sugaring season with 100% maple sap from our local friends in VT. No water added! Just barley, hops, and ale yeast.

In 2010 the Maple Tripple received a World Beer Cup® Bronze Medal for the Specialty Beer category. The 2012 Maple Tripple received a World Beer Cup® Silver Medal in the same category, and the 2014 Maple Tripple received a Silver Medal!

2020 Hop Selection

The 2020 hop selection is underway! When this time of year rolls around we are always excited to sit down and evaluate what crop of hops we will be brewing with next year. We analyze based on lab results and quantitative measures such as appearance, aroma, friability, and much more. Thank you to our growers Yakima Chief and Crosby Hops!

Social Impact Program (SIP)

Lawson’s Finest is proud to support Hannah’s House in Waitsfield, VT as our November Sunshine Fund recipient. They will use the donation in these three following ways:

Hannah’s House is partnering with local libraries to offer a book study and free online screenings around timely topics such as anxiety, coping with stress related to COVID-19 and screen addiction. Funds will assist in purchasing the books for the study attendees and for the licensing costs associated with the documentary screening. Secondly, donations will provide subsidies for the “Hannah’s House Youth Resilience Outreach Project” which encourages youth to access enrichment opportunities that foster resiliency and connections in a physically distanced way. Research shows that strong relationships, developing a sense of belonging and life purpose along with being in a safe and supportive community environment are all factors that build resiliency in youth. Lastly, donations will provide direct financial aid for therapy sessions to families, youth and all ages in the community, primarily for the uninsured and under-insured.

We are also honored to be taking part in this year’s Fete for Crohn’s & Colitis, hosted by the New England Chapter of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, with a stay at the Lawson’s Finest Airbnb in Warren, VT being raffled to raise funds for this worthy cause. For the safety and well-being of the IBD community, the Fete for Crohn’s & Colitis will be reimagined to an in-home experience this year. While the event will look different, the organization’s goals remain the same: to create a meaningful evening for guests, recognize our incredible honorees, and raise vital funds for their mission to cure Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases.
